The ease and beauty of wigs! Wigs today are not the same wigs your grandmother wore way back when :) They look more natural, come in a gazillion styles and colors, and are more accepted today then they were yesterday. And they are not only for those with "hair issues". You may want to try a new style without tampering with or cutting your own hair. You may want to be a little daring and try a new color, like purple or grey :), to see how it will look. Or maybe you want to give your hair a break and wear a wig for a while. Or just maybe, you are one of the lazy ones who just doesn't feel like doing their hair and want to throw on a fabulous wig and go! :). Whatever the reason, now a days, wigs are FUN! You can do whatever style you want, whatever color you want and whenever you want! Now some helpful tips to wig maintenance: Take care of your wig. When you are not wearing it, store it away properly. On a wig head mannequin, in a wig box, in a plastic bag, or on a hanger hanging up. Wash your wig if you can. There are human hair wigs and synthetic wigs. Each one needs to be cared for differently. Use a wig cap on your natural hair to protect your hair from the netting on the wig. It can get caught on your hair and pull out strands. Also, the movement of the wig can rub back and forth on your hair and cause damage. Last but not least, just because your hair is under the wig, you still need to take care of it. Wash and condition your natural hair often! Wig prices range anywhere from $8 to $800 depending on the quality you decide to get. Check out Amazon for some amazing styles and prices! And enjoy the ease and beauty of a wig :)
Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! This is an update of my new favorite Organix products! Thanks to one of my readers (Alexus), this combination has proven to be a great hydrator for hair, without having to add the weight of hair grease. In dry climates, like Arizona for instance, the dry, desert summers can be harsh on ones hair and scalp. It takes a lot to keep it hydrated. Organix offers a variety of products to help with all kinds of hair issues. So when my reader (Alexus) recommended this combination, I gave it a try. The Macadamia Oil Shampoo is a hydrating formula that uses macadamia oil, sugar cane extract and bamboo extract to smooth dry hair, soften and prevent split ends. This shampoo made the hair very soft, gave it lots of movement and added a beautiful luster. The Teatree Mint Conditioner is also a hydrating formula. It blends Australian tea tree oil, milk proteins and peppermint oil to add moisture to your hair and scalp. You can go about 2 weeks without your scalp drying out or feeling itchy. The key is to deep condition for about 2 hours with a shower cap on. No need to sit under the dryer :) These two products together created a moisturized, shiny head of soft hair, full of luster and movement without the weight of hair grease. Give these products a try! They are definitely my new favorites now! Thanks Alexus!!! :)
