For those who aren't familiar with this technique, you first cornrow your hair into whatever design you want. Natural hair usually isn't left out for this style. Next you take a latch hook, the same kind you use with latch hooking yarn crafts, and hook the crochet hair to the cornrow. You then knot the hair at the base to secure the crochet hair. Then cut and style as desired. (keep checking back for a video that I will do on how to accomplish this style soon).
Crochet hair comes in many different curl patterns and colors. Crochet Braids will stay looking good as long as your cornrows are still in good shape underneath. You can expect this style to last about a month. You still need to maintain your scalp underneath with a moisturizer, and don't forget a good silk scarf to tie up your beautiful protective style when you sleep.
This style uses anywhere from 5 to 7 bags depending on how full you want it. If you cut the hair in half before the installation for a shorter style, then you can expect to use 3 to 5 bags. Each bags cost between $5 and $8. You can find the latch hook at your local beauty supply for $1 to $3.
